Invitation
On behalf of the Organizing Committee we would like to invite you to take part in the 1st International Conference of the Hungarian Laboratory Animal Science Association and the Committee of Animal Experimentation of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences which will be held in Budapest, Hungary, on 23 May 2009.
In 1999 the Hungarian Laboratory Science Association (HLASA) has been founded, which has been recognized in 2005 as member of the Federation European of Laboratory Science Associations (FELASA). In this way, the possibility of official participation in the laboratory animal science specialization became possible. The FELASA has as mission to increase interaction of European laboratory animal associations, compare and harmonize education from basic to specialist level in Europe, advance applied and scientific laboratory animal science.
The aim of this conference is to gather the specialists of the Laboratory Animal and Veterinary Science, who are able to consider the entire animal and its environment as a whole, follow the physiological events with and evolutionary and comparative view and consider the principles of the humane animal experimentation, the three „R”s.
Here we invite laboratory animal scientists, biological, genetic, medical and veterinary scientists and agricultural engineers of the practice, representative of the laboratory animal industry with both alternative and humane approaches studying aspects of the whole organisms, included the Man. Consequently, the bioethics represents an important role.
