The 58th annual meeting of the Wildlife Disease Association (WDA) will be held August 2-7 2009!

Mark your calendars now and we will ensure that you experience the best of the Pacific Northwest!

This year’s theme is Wildlife Health from Land to Sea: Impacts of a Changing World. The 2009 theme was born out of the events of a changing climate, economy, and political environment across the planet and is centered in how those changes impact the natural world and health of wildlife from the terrestrial ecosystems to the depths of our oceans.
Who should attend and/or submit abstracts?
Wildlife biologists, wildlife managers, veterinarians, epidemiologists, ecologists, parasitologists, pathologists, microbiologists, or anyone interested in the management of wildlife health.
Venue
The luxurious, but affordable Semiahmoo Resort and Spa has been reserved for WDA 2009. This beautiful sea-side resort, set at the end of a mile-long sandy spit, is located about 130 miles (200 km) from Seattle-Tacoma Airport and 40 miles (60 km) from Vancouver Airport Driving Directions Map PDF . Rooms are reasonably priced, lunches served outside overlooking Mt. Baker will be included with your registration and the picnic will be on the beach. In addition to a full week of wildlife disease continuing education and meeting with colleagues, you’ll want to be sure to make time for sunrise and sunset beach walks, wildlife watching from the grounds of the resort, whale watching, kayaking, salmon fishing, and hiking in the North Cascades wilderness.

Additional Information
Continuing Education Credits for Licensed Veterinarians: the American College of Zoological Medicine is sponsoring continuing education credit at the conference for licensed veterinarians. Additional information and forms will be available for pick-up at the conference.
